What would have happened if, during the First World War, Win had never received the mail sent from the front by her husband, gunner Frank Bracey? How had her life been different?

Based on a true story, LOST LETTERS poses the question how relationships are lost. This ballet tells a modern story with many changes of scenery, colorful and elaborate costumes and, in-between, time and again, quiet moments which call into question: what might have been?

To the music of Rachmaninoff and Max Richter a ballet unfolds that not only raises existential questions, but also supplies answers: about the importance of human communication and shared feelings.

Lucía Lacarra and Matthew Golding were already guests in Bonn during the 2023/2024 season with FORDLANDIA.  LOST LETTERS is the first production of the dance company founded by Lucia Lacarra, the Lucia Lacarra Ballet. It is her aim to maintain the highest level of artistic excellence and to transmit to the younger generation a passion for dance.
